I was thinking the same thing as I watched him give his speech. I would of never thought it. |
i never thought he could do a serious role, but i guess he proved me, and half the world wrong.
But honestly, i could never take the guy seriously, because of In Livin Color, and his show on fox. he is just too funny.
and who knew he actually started his career as a singer!? |

He was good in Ali, which is where I really saw how good an actor he really is.
Your right though, he is pretty funny, I saw a stand up comedy with him, and he doesnt have the greatest timing, but he is naturally funny. His Jennifer Lopez skit was funny.

from what I saw Jamie Foxx's speech was by far the best.

I didn't really get to see any of it but I'm glad I got to see his speech.
That was by far, the most eloquent reception speech I've ever heard; it was truly amazing.
Props to him, now I'm definately going to have to watch that movie... |

Not many comedian actors can play in dramatic movies...Robin Williams is the only other actor that I can think of that can also play in dramatic roles like "The Awakening" & "Good Will Hunting" |

As far as i'm concerned he already did that in Any Given Sunday, play a serious role that is.
And yah the man can sing. Check out his stand up I Might Need Security. He does some singing in the extras, amazing. Plus the stand up is hilarious... |
