Yeah, there were plot holes. And a few questionable decisions made. But I still consider this to be one of the best overlooked movies ever made.

+1

and that fighting technique/fx were awesome on screen!

the guy who played father (the real one, not the one on screen) looks a lot like marcel woods.

It's Christian Bale, might I add one of the most overlooked actors.

he rocked in Gattaca too, :)

the best part is at the end when he fights the big boss man, and they both have two guns in each hands, but they keep knocking each others hands out of the way.

One of my favorite action movies, and one of the most overlooked as well.

fyi: the star of equilibrium will be starring as the new batman.

nice old movie BTW.

yeah christian bale is cool (american psycho and jesus in some movie)

really great Orwell like feel in the movie, and gun kata was amazing

Christian Bale was also in The MAchinist, which came out earlier this year. AMAAZING overlooked movie. How did this guy get so good? He is my favorite actor at the moment...

Gholy Host
The plot was just a rehash of 1984, and other such classics. Just because 99% of modern films have absolutely garbage for meaning doesn't mean that some indie film comes along with a reused message and you flip out over it.

The action wasn't bad.

Spoiler:
As usual, Sean Bean died within the first 1/3 of the film (as he always does).

/Spoiler:

I liked Christian Bale in American Psycho, and he wasn't bad in this, but him as Batman is going to be rough.

I'll definitely have to go rent this (equilibrium), sounds like something I'd enjoy.

As for American Psycho, the book is FAR better than the movie. I haven't seen any other Christian Bale movies, but as far as acting goes, I could take it or leave it. It wasn't anything special in A.P. but who knows maybe he'll suprise me in the new Batman.

What I'm waiting for is Tim Burtons "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory".. it'll be twisted for sure.
