That's probably it.

Maybe it's because I'm not a fan of breaks, but I think it just stripped the whole track of its original power and mood. The bootleg just gets people moving, it doesn't get inside of you.

Great detroit techno classic ... I see a lot of discussion about UR and X-102 and Robert Hood ... yes, very good stuff, I love detroit techno!
