Hey,
First, I would use another site for my music storage, this one will scare most of the reviewers and it is damn slow :P,try www.soundclick.com or even better, open a free tripod account at www.tripod.com and use it as your FTP.
Listening .... intro is interesting, when the kick comes in I was expecting a furious and crazy full on bass but never came, also I would use more reverses and I would work more the synths, some of them sounds too louder than the rest. The open Hi-Hat sounds fine, but sounds to low fi.
In overall, is not bad at all, but sounds pretty experimental and at parts sounds too vanguard imo but is a good work keep it up man ;).

| This is a pretty cool tune. It's missing some depth I think. You have all the right elements, but it still has sort of an amateur sound. What did you use to make this track? |

hiya
i have a small studio. i am really only just starting to come to grips with a lot of it especially the hardware. The majority of the track was done using software. i do prefer the sound of hardware but software is often quicker.
hardware
virus indigo
korg ms2000
novation ks rack
novation a station
korg m1
raveolution 309
RNC Compressor
Moogerfooger ring modulator
sony minidisc recorder
spirit folio fx16
korg kaos pad
pentium 4 pc
audigy soundcard
assorted guitar pedals
software
cubase sx
fl studio
loads of vst plugins & instruments
like i said before, these are humble beginnings, i know i have a lot to learn... any help / comments are very helpful.
Thanks for listening to it. :D |

No way those storages suck!
Soundclick sucks because it's a pain in the ass, and you'll have to deal with annoying wannabe rappers flooding your forum telling you to check out their beats, as well as those little kid azn DJs uploading commercial songs, saying they made it, and they actually have a following of little azn kids who believe them.
Tripod sucks because we may not always want to save as. Tripod forces you to save it in order to hear it. Sorry, I'll be honest, but I don't like all the tracks I hear here... I'm sure it's quite obvious...and I wouldn't want to be saving them in my hard drive unless I really liked them. I typically ignore tracks uploaded to Tripod because I don't want to save them, unless of course a friend did them or an artist I know is good.
This track sounds good! Although I would prefer a steady hats pattern on top of the echoey ones already here. The vocal samples sound like they would work better in a hard house tune, but not so much in a psy track. It starts to cheese out towards the middle, with silly computergeek melodies and circus fanfares. It's nicely produced, but not my kinda psy. |

Don't worry m8 your storage spanks the hell out of those Kopi mentioned. You could have just direct linked us to the mp3 so we wouldn't have to go to the page and find the link, but I had no trouble finding it... maybe Kopi did. |

Moe from The Simpsons?
Awesome percs in the intro.
I dunno, I'm really starting to wonder if Simpsons samples are what this track needs. The Simpsons just don't seem... psy to me. That could just be personal opinion, though. :)
Overall, very satisfying psy. I enjoyed it. |

Thats a pretty decent setup for an "amatuer" studio. Wish mine was that impressive :sadgreen:
The sound at 1.00 is clashing with some of the other elements in the track. I think its needs EQing or something cos right now its just too distracting.
Lead at 2.47 is cranking as is the one at 3.07. They work really well together and sound very psy.
Your kick could do with some more work. It seems to get lost amongst the chaos very easily.
Its definately some experimental trippy dude, even by psytrance terms. So many elements floating around in the mix but it still hold together quite well. |
