I was in no way suggesting that he is. Afterall, when Sasha and Diggers spin togather you don't consider one the others lackey do you ? JZ is younger then Sasha, and hasn't been in the game as long as the Master, so natuarally people will refere to him as the 'heir'. I would think it's a compliment considering just how talented Sasha is.
JZ and Sasha have their own unique styles which compliment each other really well. I'd say that JZ is probably technically superior when it comes to some of the turntable tricks he is able to pull off. Then again, he loves tweaking and playing with his mixes a lot more then Sasha. The greatness of Sasha as far as i'm concerned is the man has superlative taste in music. He's a pioneer when it comes to his tracklisting...people follow what he drops, it's as simple as that. It helps that the man can put togather an absolutely sublime, seemless set as well. ;)
So in closing...no, JZ isn't Sasha's sidekick. On the contrary, he should feel flattered that people talk about him like the next Sasha simply because the man he is being compared to is a legand in his own right. |
