| i have a question for all the PVD fans out there.. im a fan too i have his out there and back cd and i love ti.. and i have alot of his mp3s but when i get his live sets .. like i have his essential mix and live at knebworth.. the mixes are just.. the songs arent great..i love DJ Tiesto's sets like Live @ energy 2000,club eue 2 year anniversary and live at dancevalley 2001.. in th PVD mixes i dont hear any trance.. maybe its all progressive stuff but theres no melodic tunes or anything.. so my question is.. why is it considered trance.. and why are his live sets considered so good.. i dont even like them.. check out my playlist btw http://hauntedzorz.homestead.com/files/winamp.htm |

wow...you got it wrong there dude. PvD's set are very much trance and are awesome. A lot of the songs in them are VERY melodic and uplifting. He has moved a bit towards progressive stuff compared to his older sets but he still has kept a lot of trance stuff in his sets...which are awesome. You're entitled to your opinion even though I think its off.
p.s. - I also noticed you have just as much if not more rap and rock stuff as trance. Maybe you don't really know what trance is and whats its about...especially if you're saying theres no trance in PvD's sets. |

actually, pvd HIMSELF said that he doesnt consider his stuff trance... but yea, we all still luv it neway.......
dunno about u guys, but i absolutely LOVED the pvd@knebworth set......
tiesto and pvd hav 2 different styles..... they're both good in their own ways... alot of ppl here really criticised tiesto's dancevalley set but i thought it was good... got me dancing in front of my comp :) |

| his Ministry of Sound live set from '99 i think it was is very uplifting.. in fact its one of my fav sets cos its so energetic and a good bunch of tunes :).. im downloading his Soundgarden set from 08-08-2001 which is very nice from what im hearing.. a good mix of uplifting/prog.. but i can kinda see where you're coming from when his CDs are trance but his sets arent.. ah well :) |

Why would it all have to be melodic and uplifting?
A lot of progressive tunes are greater than some melodic. |

| i was talking about his live sets not his songs.. and maybe you should scroll down on my playlist.. just cuz i have 2pac on there(only rap i like) doesnt mean anything.. i never said it was an all trance playlist.. which it mostly is..and comedy.. some rock.(i do play guitar) and cant forget the hans zimmer(classical themes from gladiator and braveheart) |

| ok ok ok ....people people people stop thinking that TRANCE is only epic and melodic...so many people think if its not epic its not trance.....Epic trance is just a style of trance...... Pvd plays more progressive/hard/melodic/everyhing heheheh ...he plays pure trance more then really melodic trance ... |
