Buying equipment from USA...

If you have, or know of someone how has, you can help me with this.
I'm looking to buy a pair of CDJ's and maybe a EFX500 from the USA, but was wondering if customs rips you apart with charges on them?
And, if you had a good experience from a certain person or store in the USA, please let me know too!

yeah i remember when i had bought cdjs, i had paid i think almost 300-400$ alone on taxes through customs.
i suggest try looking locally.
p.s i bought it from ebay. but anyhow never managed to use it so i sold it. |

totally agreed!
i have a buddy who used to accept packages for me, bring them up to his parents in mtrl and expresspost it from there.. 2 shipping costs, but both are less expensive because within the country..
this was for computer hardware stuff..
for something like 2 decks and a mixer - he might not have room, he also might not be willing to do it for free anymore either..
lmk if you want me to contact him and see if he's still actin as a "broker" ;) |

| You will definetely get raped on taxes/duties. I'm a TOTA at school in the states. PM if you wanna order something. You can have it shipped to my house. I don;t get back from school till the end of the semester (beginning of may) but my parents come almost every weekend we have games. They can bring your things back to TO and you can pick em up.....let me know |

I got Billed for $325 on a $1400 US charge for 2 Denon DNS 5000
I got a freind to purchase headphones for me, and have them send from his forwarding adress from miami to himself in waterloo. (To him from him), I dont think he got a bill for customs. Then i payed him back :)
