What is there to say about Marco that hasn't already been said....!? he remains one of techno's brightest talents. His uncompromising and technically flawless 3 deck DJ style has earned him a a reputation as one of the most exciting DJs in the world. The year 2005 has seen him progress into more minimal territory following the likes of Richie Hawtin with the release of his new label DOMINO - to represent the style that he is making and DJing with now - funky and minimal yet still very energetic.
The label itself, called Do.Mi.No.,stands for Domestic Minimal Noise. The minimal aesthetic’s of domino’s proved to be something of an inspiration in the development of this label as the numbers on the releases will be directly mimic that of the game. It is a sleek minimal look which cleverly reflects the direction of the labels musical output. Most significantly there will be only 12 releases which will be released once a month in succession.
The first two releases have been outstanding so we expect an exceptional year from Marco in 2005. This is the first opportunity to catch him with the ROBOTS for another Canal Room Special!!!

Saw him back in 2003, and it was excellent. Hope this new style is to my likings too. Guess I'll find out wednesday.:) |
