TOPLESS DANCER WINS CASE IN `PEOPLE'S COURT'

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - A buxom topless dancer may have belted a bachelor
with her breasts, but she did not cause any serious bruising, a TV
judge has ruled.
Former New York City Mayor Ed Koch, who presides as a judge on "The
People's Court,'' said Paul Shimkonis showed no signs of real injury
from the incident and deserved no damages.
Shimkonis said he was injured by Tawny Peaks' 69-HH breasts when she
flung them in his face, knocking his head backwards during his bach-
elor party at Diamond Dolls, a club in Clearwater.
The 38-year-old physical therapist sued, but he agreed to dismiss the
suit in Florida and have it heard in New York at the studios of "The
People's Court.''
Shimkonis said it felt like he had been hit with two cement blocks when
Ms. Peaks struck him in September 1996.
When asked by Koch why he waited three months to seek medical attention,
Shimkonis said he was embarrassed. A magnetic resonance imaging exam
showed no injury, Koch said.
"He believed that the breasts hit Shimkonis, but he is not convinced
they caused any injury,'' the show's co-executive and host Harvey Levin
said of Koch in Thursday's editions of The Tampa Tribune.
The show will air in September.
