well, if this information makes you feel any better. . . .
My roommates (LOSER) boyfriend listens to rap and supposedly owns a gun and has cemented a safe in MY condo (not his) and he once came into my room with a freakin' knife claiming to hear a girls voice screaming in my room/things. This guy has some nerve! eh??
He is a super psycho freak - that listens to RAP! My roomie know I DO NOT LIKE HIM AT ALL!!! But he still comes around, he even got his own apartment at King and Dufferin (Ghetto ville if ya ask me!)
His opinion is worth as much as much as his rent check!!!!!
He always thinks he is right and the "man" - well I was this close to kickin' his ass one night and I wish to god he would stay the fu(k out of MY place & MY life!!<0----sorry, but i think I HAD to vent!~
Me on the otherhand, I listen to some R&B and Hip Hop - & I like Trip Hop Beats as well... But I would never ever walk around with a knife. |

The hip/hop culture do not cause violence but the peoeple whom are dealing inside that circule cause the problems instead. Just like saying guns kill people but the truth is that people kill people.
It is sad to see how hip/hop and rap music has changed in the passed +10 years or so. I started off listening to hip/hop & rap but then as time went by, the music has made a 180 degress turn, which the lyrcis have became really pointless and without true meanings behind. Yet the beats are still fresh.
Do not get me wrong tho, there are still many very taliented underground groups which refused to go mainstream but sadly that the media rejected most of them because those are the voices will able to make changes in society.
Just like 2Pac said, "That's the way it it" |

2pac was the best, always will be in my opinion. Sure he was rough around the edges, but the guy always had a true message in his lyrics. So much potential lost when his life was taken. |

dont hold you breath. as long as the majority of younger ladies prefer to shake their asses and have them grinded by wanna be gangstaz, hip-hop will hold down its mainstream dominance. |
I do think it has reached its peak though |

I know, I know next up is rock....but it's my dream and no one can take that away :p
As for the gun and violence thing....you can't deny the cold hard facts. Violence definately exists in the Rap or hip hop world. Not in our dance world.
There's never been any violence in ibiza or the Berlin love parade. Unlike, say...Toronto's Caribana.
LONG LIVE THE REAL DANCE MUSIC ......NOT THE HYPE! |
