OK, I was previously running Winamp 2.81 and suddenly it stopped playing every format but MP3. Playing OGG, WAV, AVI etc. simply didn't work. So I installed version 5.08 and all was working well at first, but now history has repeared itself again.
Any ideas?

file->options->preferences.
Then under genereal preferences click "file types"
Highlight all the files you want it to play then click close.
Done. |

| Thanks, but I already tried that and it didn't seem to make any difference. I ended up uninstalling 5.01 and reinstalling 2.81. Everything is working fine for just now. |

Actually I'm kind of confused. What do you mean when saying "Playing OGG, WAV, AVI etc. simply didn't work"?
When you selected them did they open in something else?
Or when you opened them in wimamp, the wouldn't play? If so, what happens? An error message/or takes forever to load? |

When I dragged them to the playlist, it simply didn't identify them as audio files. Same thing as when you drag a non Audio file in. Which was very strange, as it all worked fine before. |
