Any fans of Russell Coulthart aka Floorplay and Disco Volante? I've always liked his work and he did some fantastic tracks and remixes during the 90's. I believe he was the owner of the recently defunct Automatic Records.
My favourites:
Destiny Angel - You Take Me Higher (my favourite)
Orbit 90 - Diamond Back
Floorplay - Automatic
Disco Volante - Contact
Union Jack - Red Herring (Disco Volante Mix)
Random Access - Majestic (Floorplay Mix)
Victoria Newton - Martha's Harbour (Floorplay Remix)
I've got the 1998 Automatic Anthems CD which is a fantastic collection of several past and unreleased tracks on Automatic Records and comes highly recommended.

I really like Destiny 3 by Destiny Angel. I didn't realise that was Russel Floorplay. I also have is collab. with J00f - Come on Baby, which I am not so fond of, but it is ok.
Because Destiny 3 was one of the first vinyl I ever owned, that was before I ever considered using the internet for find info about tracks, and I have no other tracks by this guy, he simply passed me by.
But you have definately stirred a need in me now to listen to that track again! :) Though I remember it quite well.
Edit: Generally you seem to have good taste, in music & women... so I'll definately consider this an opportunity to spend more money, but I'll wait to see which tracks seem most popular! Heheh. |

| I like their Disco Volante outings better myself, but they've done some great stuff with this moniker as well. The remix of Martha's Harbour comes to mind. |

Heh, thanks. Not too many people these days seem to share my tastes. :)
Annoyingly there used to be samples on the Automatic Records website of all their releases but since they're no more the samples appear to have vanished.
Just remembered I also have Destiny Angel - Elevate/Deviate from 1997 on vinyl which sounds like a cross between the Floorplay sound and the Hook Recordings style. Both pretty good tracks too. |
