I promise to bring 2 Technics SL-1210 M5G's with ortofon night clubs, and 1 Tascam X-9 mixer. I will also bring my Sony MDR-V700 headphones. My mixer has 2 RCA outs, 1 is for monitors, the other is a master. It also has 2 XLR (L,R) outs for the master. Where do we stand with an amp? I can run XLR directly into the amp or I can patch RCA to 1/4 into the amp. Do I need to bring a table to set up on? What time should I show up at? DJ's please let me know if you want to spin. We need to organize a "lineup" so that we have no confusion. You are more then welcome to use my decks if you bring your vinyl. I know that DJ Dimensions is going to spin. Please keep me informed! |

I will bring a mixer and an extra turntable just in case someone doesn't show up or if by some weird miracle there's enough equipment for two areas of music. My Mixer is a Numark DM-3000X... and my turntable is a Numark TT-100, I will be using my own headphones, but will someone please PM with the address. I still haven't gotten a response about that... and please add me to the lineup.
Edit: Come to think of it I can bring my Yamaha RXV -990 reciever that was meant for home entertainment but I've used it for house parties before. The back says 340 Watts, but I've run 4 big speakers on it before... I think it overheated a couple times so maybe we should run just two speakers on it... by the way I do NOT have any speakers that I can bring so someone else will have to bring that along witht the speaker wire to plug into the back of my reciever... it's bare wire input. |

hey if any of you TA's are interested...
if you want you can have a pre-TA party meetup at a party my friends and i (including raptor here) are throwing tomorow (sat. the 26th)
we are havine two bands play
one is your normal indie/rock style band, but they are good
the other is a very melodic rock/dance band (sorta happy mondaysish)
then we will have 3 djs
myself
raptor from these boards
and another friend of ours
we will be spinning a mix of house, funky house, proggy house, breaks, sorta all over the place
as to booze:
two bars
two kegs
lots of crazyness
so if anyone is interested PM me and i'll send you a link for the eflyer
i know theres not much going on this weekend in clubland with the WMC going down, so you might as well come out |
