Who's your favourite Comedian? (pg. 6)
View this Thread in Original format
Rodrico
I see alot of repeats on here, some obscure and some I had forgotte about, like Richard Jeni, and Billy Connelly, who have given me some of the greatest laughs of all time. There are some stand ups that I have been searching for on DVD, and are impossible to find.

Here are some I recommend people to look up...

Eddie Izzard
Paul Rodriguez
George Lopez
Lewis Black
Bill Maher
Steven Wright

And the originator of all brash, and politically driven comedy itself...Lenny Bruce. His jokes were tame and nothing compared to today's humour, but this is the man who paved the way for all modern day comedians in their vulgarity and their relentless drive to push the envelope. He killed himself after his career was destroyed by the church and many other political agenda's in the states for his witty social commentary back in the 50's (cant remember the exact era he performed right now). Basically this guy is like the modern day Socrates or Gallileo of the comedy world.

Chris Rock is definately my favourite.

I could watch Never Scared over and over and over...
Kytracid
I can't believe more people haven't said Richard Pryor ! The man inspired a generation of stand ups, amoung them Eddie Murphy, Woopie Goldberg, Chappelle etc...

Richard Pryor -- The greatest stand up of all time.

Dave Chappelle

Eddie Murphy

George Carlin

Chris Rock

Jon Stewert

Conan O' Brian

Robbin Williams

hahahah look at this - I just found! look liek a funny one!

The "Marijuana-Logues" CD features top comedians Arj Barker, Doug Benson and Tony Camin riffing on the rites and rituals of pot and the highs and lows of marijuana. This live cast recording is performed by the original three writers and performers. 30 tracks of hilarious marijuana comedy capturing the trio at their best! :tongue3 to order click here :tongue2

This is also another funny ass comedy show put on my comedy Central (only in the states;()

Strangers with Candy

take a lookie here!!!

Everyone's favorite middle-aged high school student has finally come to DVD. Jerri Blank (Amy Sedaris), a self-described "user, boozer and loser," takes on the perils and pratfalls of high school in the 3 seasons of Strangers with Candy. A critic and cult hit, Comedy Central®'s Strangers with Candy twists the conventions of the classic after-school special to create a completely original comedy series

:tongue2 :tongue2

Ya I heard about that....like what's with that?

No matter what he does....HE'S STILL CANADIAN!
Born and raised on our land.

the (USA)Borgs may have taken his body (reaped him and assimilated him) but they will never get his spirit :p

OMG

Phil Hartman

This guy always had me in stitches with his straight uptight look.
AND HE'S ALSO CANADIAN!

Did anyone ever see the tv show called "News Radio". If you ever see a rerun....you have to see the scene where he's trying to quit smoking. Someone gives him the patch and he decides to stick all of them on at once...........that was just too much for me. Almost busted a gut watching it.

It was extremely sad when he passed away and the show got cancelled because of it.

he lives there, so he wanted to have the right to vote etc. Conan and him made a good bit about it, when late night had a week of shows in T.O.
