Since idiot means acting in a stupid way, yes, that was an stupid post and, according to my concept of Chill Out Room, that would be okay.
I don't think it's necessary to bear in mind 24/7 that, even though "b" and "v" are allophones in many languages (such as Spanish and Japanese), they are distinctive voiced consonants used in minimal pairs in languages such as English (the language we're using), Russian and possibly Polish (the two Slavic languages I made fun of due to their similarity specially to untrained ears, reason why no one actually care to use them properly in Class B Cold War Films). The distinction between "ts" and "s" is not a strong one either, as they're both alveolar sounds in English, so they're close enough to be used in a pun.
I didn't need to remember that the surname adjectival system is not the same either. In fact, if I were serious, her name would have to be "Sovietskaya", since she's a female, but I ignored the noun agreement because neither Leelee Sobieski's name follows this rule, nor it's unclear that "Sovietsky" would not be a suitable family name, due to its origin and meaning (who the heck would be named "council" or something of that sort?!).
Other than that, the Warsaw pact and that relationship with Soviet Union ended more than a decade ago, so there's no need for me to take those years as seriously as avoiding childish puns which are not offensive in any way. The joke was actually on your average foreigner, who doesn't speak Polish or Russian, so he would never notice the difference.
Sometimes we can ignore these things, you know. That's why I felt confortable enough to behave in a more idiotic way. Nevertheless, you seemed not to think much before posting either, probably because of some hard feelings or mistakes made by those who can't distinguish Polish from Russian (as if we all had to), so I guess I should be as kind to pay the favour back.
Sometimes it's not that bad to be an idiot, don't worry.
