why is it that with some .avi files or i suppose any video files, once in awhile you'll get one where when you click a certain point in the bar to, for example, get farther ahead in the video, it'll just keep playing at the same place and never let you move forward?
is there any way to fix this?
for the record, its not porn and i didnt d/l anything. im making a tutorial and i have a program called screen capture which makes .avi movies of whatever is on your screen...
anyway, anyone know what the prob could be? |

| Sometimes it has to wait for the whole video to finish downloading before you can jump ahead. In WMP if you double-click the screen and make it full screen you can see the green bar donwloading ahead of time. |

| depending on the way its encoded some movies don't allow you to skip ahead, but usually they're wmv. If you want a more technical answer visit a video forum. |

| not sure, I know sometimes I've had the problem if the media file is in a .zip folder. I have to remove it sometimes. |
