lol 'scouse' is hardly a derogatory term, anyone hailing from Liverpool is a scouser and should be proud to be so. But yes the music rather poorly reflects on the City. Its associated with scallies (which you get everywhere in the UK) and is rather cheaply made with little or no imagination at all.
Track after track is churned out usually by the same people or groups, namely Mike Di Scala, who has his fingers in every pie it seems. (and eats a lot of them judging from his wasteline). Hes part of Ultrabeat, Maximum Hustler, BCD Project, Rezonance Q, in effect a large portion of the Scouse House scene.
But the genre is being slated in the city too, with bars/clubs attempting to move away from it into others sucha s Funky House which attracts less desirible customers. |

My apologies, I thought it meant the same thing as "scally", which I understand is the Northern England equivalent of what's known as "neds" in Scotland. |
