why are people so damn ignorant about edm? (pg. 3)

Being tragically ignorant about european music is an American trademark. Everyone over here calls anything with electronic sounds "techno" and lump it all together. So many people here in America actually think that rap is club music. With regards to Heavy metal, it is just rampant among the youth.
Thinking about what a musical holocaust we are makes me sick. Rap and metal are the two worst forms of music, virtually no inherent talent. European metal like Within Temptation and Nightwish are the only so-called "metal" bands that qualify as talented.
As commercial and cheap as some european music is becoming, I'll take it any day over all this american puke. |

thats a nice post... commertial music will always suck and it will always be there. intelkligent ppl will just have to choose different paths...

| Thank you. My exceptionally negative comments with regard to metal can be understood better by the fact that american "metal" is comprised of instruments banging and guys screaming/yelling their heads off with no melodic pattern. |

Anyway, just get back at them, get some classical Oprah and Orchestra music, its not repetitive and well composed and is very deep, and blast the out of it, they can't call it non-talented or repetitive, but they'll soon hate it and be beggin to hear anything else even DJ Sammy.
So everyone knows, I DO NOT like Oprah or Orchestra music, but you gotta give it respect for the type of music it is and how its made.
Or how about some wicked Gospel music with a phat bass beat behind it, BOOM BOOMBOOM BOOM "Praise the Lord" BOOM BOOMBOOM TISH BOOM. |
