If you can afford it, go and buy Pioneer DJM-500... It's the best DJ player (watch Paul Oakenfold playing with it on a pic on http://www.pioneer.com; and my best-loved-forever (JULES RULES) has one of these at home)... 4 channels, built-in SFX processor, Auto-BPM, 3band EQ, of course and much more... 500s cost about 1000$... However, I still was able to find them for 667$ on http://www.bid2bid.com ... However, while I'm always short of money, I was really considering to buy a Numark DM-1001X.
The most important factor for me is Equalizer. This mixer is with a 3band EQ (it's a pity only, only 2 channels) and can be easily bought under 100$. If you have means to buy 2002, then go ahead. Vestax is in general better than Numark, but I wasn't able to study their models. But believe me, nothing will give you more freedom in experimenting than DJM-500 for that price... |

vestax mixers sux.. ive played on both of them and they arent good. rugaltions are kinda wrong, i was hurting my self playing on them etc, hehe :P
i think that numark is best from those four mizxers, i like it, im using it a long time and never had probs. go for it. |

| Do you really need 3 channels?? For me two is enough and i'd suggest buying a pioneer djm-300, which has 2 channels and is almost the same prive as those that you mentioned. There's lots of space between the dials which gives you more control over your mix, and besides it has a bpm meter which is extremely helpful if you're a starting dj. If you have more money then you should obviously buy pioneer djm-500. |

as my post from "best mixer" theme:
two channels of a mixer wont be enough for me. ever tryed mixing from more than two channels together? my idea of mixing sometimes is with my co-cplayer nailer from 6-8 turntables and two mixers, of course pioneer or something like that. and not to play records and mix them together... youll run one or two ambient vinyls on background and on other turntables youll mix infinite loops... and mix THEM.
i dont want to play records, i want to experiment with them. thats what i love on djing, and i dont like restrictive 2chan mixers :P
-END-
btw, wghats good at that in' pioneer 300? :) i think its to expensive and there is nothing good, no special functions, no kill switches or anything, just beat counters. and who needs them? good dj is the one who can bount beats himself. |

thank you people a lot
I appreciate the input
but I dont want to consider pioneer for now
cause I dont have $$$ and I dont want to spend a lot
for the hobby at the beginning, if my DJ interest acctualy gets me somewhere then its gonna be easy to get the new mixer but for now I want to stick for entry models
so no pioneer for now :)
what about that stanton one that I mentioned
if that one is no good either
then should I get numark DM 2002X even though its a scratch mixer like somebody said
or is there any other suggestions
not too expensive ones offcourse :) |

| stantons rm3 isnt good mixer, ive played on it somewhere in prague, but i didnt like its quality of functions... go for that numark.. or if you dont have money for that three channel, buy twochannel, if you are 100% beginner :) |
