I have a question...
In every Trance track there's the buildup. When the buildup reaches the climax there is always a sound effect that sounds strong and powerfull and immedietly after that sound effect the melody comes in.
The sound effect is that thing on the top of a drum set and I think it's called high hat (I know the name of it in hebrew not in english...sorry).
Anyway, is there a name for that sound effect?
(Anyone understood what I'm saying here?)

Could it be that I'm refering to the Kick without knowing?
To those who did not understand, my question is:
How do you call that sound effect that comes RIGHT BEFORE the melody comes in [after the buildup]?
EDIT:
Ya cymbals...
But RIGHT BEFORE the melody comes in after the build up you hear the kick and the cymbals together.
Is there a name for it? |

Yeah, it's called "hitting the kick and cymbal at the same time". There's no technical term for it, it's just two percussive sounds on top of each other. |

There has to be a name for it....
In hebrew I just call it "boom" heh and people usually know what I'm reffering to :)
I must find a name for it so I can describe that short second of the track. :) |

Well, basically every track uses a kick and a cymbal before they introduce the melody. It's also used a lot in the buildups. In Psychedelic you hear a kick and a cymbal at the same time every 16 beats.
Which word can describe the sound of the kick and the cymbal together?
