I'm looking for suggestions on what to do with a mix for a typical college party. I want to make it bangin and at the same time I want to make it diverse, rap, rock, edm. I am mainly looking for songs that you think I should add here are some ideas I have.
I need song to transition from rap or rock to dance
Tiga- Hot in Here
Outkast- Ghettomusik (Benny Benassi Remix)
White Stripes- 7 Nation Army (What remix should I use?)
Any suggestions for any genre would be great. |

Having been in a similiar situation I can tell you only play the top hiphop hits and maybe a couple older hiphop/pop tracks, trance doesn't work. The few people that would like to hear EDM all night will be silenced by the mob of those that just want to hear the popular stuff.
Good luck!

Alright I know it can be annoying how the vast majority of people never seem to get tired of the dribble that is fed to them (The Game, 50 Cent, Ja Rule). There is good rap/ hip-hop out there that I would not be ashamed to play (Dr. Dre, Atmosphere, The Roots, Nas, DJ Shadow). I was wondering if anyone had more suggestions. I also would love to hear to good remixes that would make for good transitions into some dance music like...
NERD- Lapdance (Paul Oakenfold Remix)
NERD- Maybe (Sander Remix)
and the ones I had above
Someone out theres gotta know some banging rap or hip-hop tunes. |

how can you put hte words good music and dr dre in the same scentance. this is the guy that brought about pocket change and white rapper supreeme.... dude he sucks..
now back to why college kids will probably kill you for playing electronic... they dont poses the mental capacity to enjoy good bangin trance. you have to spoon feed them dribble and drool for about 2 hours, then bust out some funky house... they will stomach that for about 2 beers, then its back to crap hop again.
sorry i cant give you any examples of "bangin hip hop" cause as far as i know it doesnt exist.....
ooo sorrry RUN DMC - Kings of rock, or my addidas.... i can dig it |

I never said that, I didn't mean newbies as an insult just people who are new to the board. Just noticing alot more newer people on the board, which is good.
were you just laughing at your own comeback? |
