Master Bates
For me it was Crystal Method's classic album "Vegas." Still don't get tired of listening to it to this day :)
Fallbrook
personally, it was ATB that started it for me, from there on i developed a taste for the deep, dark progressive stuff :D
Coup
Well it actually was an artist called Cyan, a small artist who works in Greece making Psy trance, lol! he stuff is still great tho!

TwiloNYC
One of my friends was a techno dj back then and he lent me alot of his records to listen to. One group in particular got me interested in the genre, which ultimately led to my love for trance. I think the group's name was n-joy, the song was called mindflux. A very energetic, trippy and fairly deep techno tune for back then.
FoXford
[COLOR=yellow]well 4 me like many others im sure..it was the cheese and classix side that got me started..stuff like faithless-insomnia,da hool - meet her at the love parade, robert miles, darude, atb etc u get the picture..from then on i developed the taste 4 much depa meaningful trance and like beta dj's like picotto,gielen,graham,tiesto,avb,pvd..

FF[COLOR=yellow]<-------hope the yellow worked*crosses fingers:)*
Sarcoman
It all started for me when I was 12 or 13. I was into hard rock (Skid Row, Bon Jovi etc). Then, I heard 2 Unlimited (Really cheesy techno). My favourite songs were the remixed that had no lyrics. My love of this electronic sound was perpetuated by the following:

Culture Beat - Serenity
BKS
Chris Sheppard Trip Album Series
Morning Wave - Dreams (Miss Shiva - Dreams)
Legend B - Lost in Love (Baby Doc Remix)
Asral Projection - Power Gen
Man with No Name - Floor Essence (Dayglo Mix)
Commander Tom - are am eye

and many more.

The person I have to credit the most though, is a Toronto Area DJ that many have heard of, DR. TRANCE. The doctor had his show, "The Dr. Trance Radio Hour' on every weekend on Toronto Stations. He played the best trance music ever, and introduced me to many of the tracs listed above (namely, the last 5 listed).

The Doctor is now a contributor to these forums (in the local Toronto scene forums for example), and hosts an online radio program that every trance loving human should check out. Its at www.1groove.com and under the show "technopolis".

I dont mean to make this sound like a shameless plug, but I must give credit to those that deserve it. Hopefully, it can "start it" for someone else too.

Cheers

I have been in love with dance music ever since my birth. When I was younger i loved Disco and Electro (breakdance music). In the mid 90's I heard Children and I was like "Oh my GOD!" I didn't even get into trance until 2000.
