Hi guys,
Im aware of V-Synths on the market which are capable of emulating the Supersaw Wave form of the Jp8000 and Jp8080. However I saw a Fantom-S reasonably cheap and was wondering if anyone has had the experience of achieving some close to the SuperSaw sound on the Fantom-S or X series.
Thanks Guys. |

A Supersaw waveform(s) is available for the Fantom S/X. However, I am unsure whether the waveform is standard or only available via the SRX Dance expansion board.
Also, you can create your own Supersaw waveforms via the Fantom's sampler. I did it with my Motif ES, and it was quite simple. There are several ways to do this, but here is an overview of the steps I took:
1) Load a raw Saw waveform to 7 sequencer tracks (I used a Saw waveform from an Ilio sample CD).
2) Fine detune 6 of the 7 Saw waveforms.
3) Resample the results of the 7 Saw waveforms playing at once.
4) Edit the resampled waveform (normalize, set loop points, etc.).
5) Save the sample as a user waveform for the basis of creating Supersaw type patches.
