just black tea. :p
i have been devoting ALOT of time since this thread was created, learning how to use MAX/DSP. It seems like an amazing program. Not the steepest learning curve...but im still strugling with some things. Manuals are god. Im trying to use it as a igorithimic drum machine. Thank you Alexan, Freak, and the search engines, of course, for the info we have so far. Any more info from anyone would be MASSIVELY appreciated. Id like to uncover more and more of this mans secret. he is just soo ing prolific its hard to believe. and the fact that he says he has so many unreleased tunes...
aye, if it isnt one already, its started to become quite the fanciful mystery to me.
but err yeah... studio... yeah..
also pics of his so called converted bank would be ing mint aswell. theres just so much of this man thats unknown. at least to the mainstream public eye.
or at least to me:nervous: |

he either used in the past or still does use these:
Korg MS20 (1978 synth, been reincarnated as ms2000)
Roland TR-707 (1985 drum machine)
EMS VCS3 (1969 synth)
Roland MC-202 (1983 groovebox (not sample based), was reincarnated as the MC-303, MC-505, MC-307 and lastly the MC-909)
EMS Synthi A and/or Synthi AKS (both 1971 synth)
possibly an EMS Synthi 100 aswell, but there were only 29 of those made (at 25 grand a piece), so i doubt it. (1974 synth)
Roland System 100 (1975 synth)
Roland TR-606 (1982 drum machine)
Roland TR-727 (1982 drum machine - basically a version of the 707 just with latin drum samples instead of regular and less modulation power over the samples - i.e only the volume can be changed)

hes a brilliant mad scientist, but imo, he is very over blown in terms of his weirdness. i know he s around with interviews and tells alot of b.s. to the interviewers, but ive heard he is really just a sweet, down to earth guy, with an incredible imagination and amazing amount of creativity. i guess thats a bit of an understatement though... I would love to meet him one day, and just drink some tea. |
all the people i know who've met him said he's an asshat |
|
|

what exactly is an asshat?
