duh. makes man. makes! not made. his early mid 90's stuff you're right, even though tis debatable. by 1999 at least, he was makin industrial themed hard techno mostly and still does. |
fair enough, but i still declare that you're the fool here for your impetuous outburst and calling me a trancemoron which is not only nonsensical, but utterly impertinent to the thread. Also the fact that you stated that his works sounded like Jeff's style, is complete bull. And also the notion you brought up that he's not Detroit cos he wasn't born hereabouts...k that's enough of my ranting. |

fine, i guess my answer to the question is that I don't have a favorite and most are pretty good in my book... except for happy hardcore, but that's what the other thread is for (hate most one).

well his early works do sound like jeff mill's work, if you've heard them. of course, my point that he wasn't born in detroit is valid, because detroit techno comes 100% from the soul of the Motor City, which is why all detroit techno producers are from detroit. now occasionally you'll get a non-detroit guy try out the detroit sound, happened in the early-mid 90's with surgeon, laurent garnier, and dave angel, they all tried their hand, but whether they just didn't get the hang of it, or they weren't accepted by their peers/fans, they just didn't make more than a handful of tracks that sounded detroitish before moving on. the fact is, there isn't anyone outside of detroit who makes detroit techno. in fact there isn't a non-black person anywhere who makes detroit techno. well okay, there's DJ Rolando, but he was born in Detroit of course and was befriended by Mike Banks early on. you're a fool here if there is one, and UWM needs to go masturbate while his roomate has sex in his dorm room. |
