Simply Bangin'

Another very strong night at our new spot last week. This week, we give you another line-up of NYC's best as well as a special guest appearance by a San Fran veteran, Layne Loomis! Serena (for those who don't know) has a great sound as well as a very comfortable and intimate atmosphere and More` Music will do as it always does by providing chilled out nights with good friends and great beats! This event will be held weekly and will showcase some of the top NYC local talent in a small room setting. This means no dress code, no big club drama, no long waits to get in, and NO COVER CHARGE.

Layne Loomis (San Francisco, CA)

Growing up in the 80's in L.A., influenced by everything from New Order and Depeche Mode, to Masta' Ace and Public Enemy, Layne always knew he would find*his nitch in music. Classicly trained from the age of 8 he's been*primed to perform since an early age. In 1997 Martel & Nabiel (Release)*gave him his first chance opening for Julius Papp*at San Francisco's then "legendary" 1015 Folsom. From there he secured*several weeklies at*both at Sound Factory and*1015 Folsom playing along side everyone from Miguel Migs*to D:FUSE*and everywhere inbetween. Chances are if you were in one of these clubs, lost in the music at 5am, you were listening to one of Layne's dark house sets. After a three year hiatus Layne is back making the rounds in San Francisco. Finding that house music is like any passion life,*"You can't*leave something behind*that's become a part of you."

Frank Rempe (FrankRempe.com, Mixed Elements, NY)

A name known to most in NYC underground, Frank Rempe, started his DJ career by landed a spot at Club Cheetaha few years back, and has played at major clubs & events in New York, Washington D.C. and San Francisco ever since. He was a resident with Re:fuge @ Le Souk, one of the most popular house parties in NY from summer of '03 to '04. Around the same time he became an east coast "resident" with Mixed Elements in San Francisco which has translated into several appearances at the world famous Ruby Skye and the End Up in San Francsico as well as the main room at Club Space in Ibiza, Spain. For 2005 Frank is working on taking that expression to the next level through his own production, and shaking as many asses a possible. - Look for the release of "Capicu", by Frank & Conrado Martinez, on Basic Beat Records this spring.

DJ Fame (SimplyBangin.com, TopDJGear.com, TouchClothing.com, NY)

A New York native, DJ Fame, has been gaining recognition the world over receiving invitations to invade the world's best nightclubs; Penthouse (Moscow), Decadance (Belgium), Ikon (NYC), Mor (Santa Monica), Ruby Skye (San Fran), Sullivan Room (NYC), Teasers (Miami) and mega festivals like WMC, 1 Nation, and many more. Regularly being seen touring with his tag team partner, James Miller Junior, the duo has lifted a fan base of house music purists with an unparalleled, vibrant and warm stage prescence and an all around funky, tribal and aggressive, yet smooth sound of the 4x4 beat. Worthy of the massives as well as the intimate. More info is available at www.simplybangin.com/tour
