At my university, we have a tradition called "Kegs n Eggs"...All of the bars open at 7 am and you pay $10US for Breakfast,free pitchers and refilled pitchers until 2PM, an Irish car bomb, a t-shirt, and a shot of Jameson...YOu must get a good nights sleep the night before because the keg parties and block parties (the roads are blocked off form traffic) begin at 12 am the night before....
But the real part of the tradition is that you get 2 pitchers at a time....one to drink and one to dump on anybody you feel needs it...and you get free refills so you are constantly throwing beer and getting dumped on. You must drink your 2nd pitcher before getting a refill....and the desire to dump is so great that you will chug a pitcher just so you can dump another....
Girls and guys must both wear a wife beater with homemade Irish decor on it, and plenty of green beads for those who wish to flash....by the end of the day there is a bar packed full of drunk, soaked college students....It is soo crazy...at 2 PM is the parade down washington avenue, and the day can either end or start from there....THAT is where I will be! :) |
