Umm....I'm not entirely sure of everything you said, but a sampled guitar is the best way to go, usually.

Plugsound has a really nice Fretted Instrument soundbank, the free 64-meg version has some samples from all of their banks and includes the best-sounding sampled Spanish guitar I've ever heard.

edit: Ugo String Theory is also a really nice guitar-sound module, although it's a synth. (http://www.cortidesign.com/ugo/)

I personally think guitars have to be real to sound good, vsts won't cut it, they just sound way too fake. Either get a real guitarrist or a sample :p

No ideas about good vsts though...

slayer 2 is really good and can creat really conviencing guitar sounds. just takes tweaking and , hwoever you might try soundfonts ill upload a few guitar soundfonts i ahve and give you a link to them in a bit

hypersonic is rather nice :)

guitar rig is an effects box. not a guitar synth.

if you want real sounding guitars - hate to say it - get a guitar. no synth is good at replicating stringed acoustic instruments.

I use a les paul studio into a mesa f30 combo... But when i cant crank the amp amplitube makes for a good substitute.
