| Anyone know where you can get those plastic crates that you can put records in and are stackable? I am not talking about your standard milk crates because those are too wide and are not stackable. Is there a place that sells plastic crates for records? Thanks. |

| Yo Bas, how many records do one of those crates hold? Just trying to estimate how many crates I would need. I have around 300 records. |

| We have a load at my work (sams club) We get milk and stuff in them. If you know anyone at costco or sams club they should be able to get you some. You can also get them from a produce market. |

The best thing for record crates is a box from the 20pack of bottles from budweiser, budlight, coorslight.
The records fit exactly perfect in there and there are already handles. Plus the plastic crates tend to crease and damage the sleeve. |

| Records are too heavy for a cardboard box like that tho. You wouldnt want to carry that box around from place to place cuz the bottom might rip out. What about stacking them on top of one another? Cant do that either. |

Cant do that either. Dont get me wrong, the records do fit in perfectly in those boxes for sure. Not sure tho if they would last a long time. |

that is only for home use. and you are right, you cannot stack them. If you are looking for mobile use then I would suggest flight cases or the odyssey cases. they have them so you can have 50,100,200. the 100 and 200 record cases are usually on wheels and have a handle. a place you might want to check out for the crates is office depot/office max. the ony thing is that I think hieght is less then 13" which makes it unstackable. I'm sure there are crates out there like that but I have not seen them. If this is going into a house or something that wont be moved around too much I would suggest making your own shelves with particle wood or something. A little carpentry skill and you will have a shelf the way you want it.
I use the beer boxes and have for several years. never had a problem with the bottom falling out or the handles ripping. plus the cardboard is gentle on the sleeves. |
