I dont know about you guys, but if an 18 year old kid can play in the premiership, Euro 2004 and Champ League and score the goals he has scored, then that's enough to warrant my respect.
But then again, you guys are probably superstars incognito. |

I know this doesn't say a lot, but Rooney is the in FIFA 2005, scored 2 of 3 goals against AC Milan in the Champions League Final I played, Ruud had the other.....lol.
He's only 18 right? I think that's pretty impressive... |

That day won't come any time soon.
FIFA games tend to give many skills to mediocre players. Rooney is one.

Thats the point - he IS good enough to play in all those competitions,
but NOWHERE NEAR what they hype him up to be....
The goals he has scored?!?!?!? AGAINST WHO for sake?!?!?!?
REFER TO MY POST: HE SCORES AGAINST THE OFFENCE-HAPPY EPL defences,
NOT against REAL defenders.;) ;) ;) THATS a FACT:thepirate |

| i like it, once more it has developped nicely (neat tricks) since the year before. i only wish the had added a bit more managing stuff, but they're starting to focus on that too now so thats nice |

Its amazing that these threads still pop up. Every month its a different member of the manchester united squad. Rooney is overhyped but i would not say he is overrated. Its the premium that has suddenly been a demand if you want to buy british players. Since rooney is only 19 he is going to cost a lot, because you are paying for potential.
Everyone who slags him off, has either got in their eyes, or bears a really bad grudge. Also its not really a discussion if you are going to start off the opening post with your view and stamp your ty badge of correctness on it.
Ask for opinions from both arguments, otherwise you just look like another cloned bitter football supporter with nothing better to do. |

Listen man, I'm a VERY realistic fan, and i watch a LOT of football,
and Rooney IS a VERY good player, but he is OVERRATED.
Werent people like you saying the same thing about Beckham?
Who WAS/IS overrated as the "best player in the world"?!?!
C'mon man, i know u'll defend 'em cause he's English as u are,
but he is SOOOOO overrated. Its not a grudge, its REALITY.
He will DEFINITELY not be as good as they think he will be.
VERY good does NOT equal GREAT. He will NEVER be great |

| VrK...I read these boards quite often and you jump at every chance to slag off on an English player, team or England fans in general. I'm sorry you're such a racist. |
