I've got studio time

I've got a project comming up at school, where I get 16 hours of time in a studio using an ssl console. I'll be mic-ing a drum kit to use for loops and one shot samples. I'll be sharing them with anyone who wants them. If you have any suggestions on other types of procussive instruments I should record, let me know. Also if you want me to send you a copy of all the samples email me and I'll send them to you when I get them(if you can accept large files)
here's a list of some of the things I'll be recording
-basic drum kit
-shaker
-tamborine(hopefully)
-Basslines
-claps
-snaps
-symbol builds

| You gonna spend 16 hours recording just those? Just get some random stuff from your house/apt and record those too... like, for example a blender or random appliances, or just get different stuff and bang them together and see how the different materials interact with each other. I don't know if you'd want to do that or not... |

Hell, if you've got 16 hours, why stop at just drum kits? I'd be recording everything that I could get my hands on.
You should record some belches or farts or something. You never hear those in trance. |

Water being poured into a glass. Sounds sick when processed with fx.
And try smashing a lightbulb. I'd say, smash something bigger like a pane of glass, but I doubt they'd let you do that in there.:eyes: |
