This is a track I did a few weeks ago, it gets pretty uplifting in the middle compared to what I normally do. Hope you like it

Lenght: 6:31
Genre: melodic trance
Bpm:136

Thanx for your suggestions, and time!!!

alright, for starters, download doesnt seem to work- maybe the site is doing maintenance or something- listened to the stream and after about 1:50 sec it just stopped and didnt want to start again... is that the whole song?

The song itself lacks harmony/atmosphere and sounds empty, sometimes that works, in this case it doesn't...
When you introduce elements in trance songs its good to be suttle, or build beforehand with fx/rythm- this doesn't do any of that so it sounds amature'ish.
The idea is good, nice kick sound and good intro melody, can't really judge the rest until the dl/full stream song works.
Don't take this as me trying to put down your song, but as ideas you can use to try and better your sound, if your happy with it then thats all that matters...
cheers, djnfinity.

Kinda cool. Not quite sure if it qualifies as melodic trance though. Its heading on more of an electro tip, which is groovy.

Like iloop suggested, layering your elements slowly with fades will help make it a bit more trancey if thats what your aiming for.

The percs needs some serious attention. Right now its sounding like the backing track thats played on one of those casio keyboards. Layer several open and closed high hats get more or an uplifting driving feel. More reverb on the snare might help too.

Percussion is definatly something you should improve, the woodblock sounds also a bit too early imo. Melody is not really my cup of tea but the synth is ok. Try to get more groovyness in your track, play with the bass, it's a very simple pattern now, and with some better percussion it could sound much better i think.

Managed to download the full mp3, just listening now...
Ooooh that snare - kraftwerk springs to mind!! I agree with the comments on how simple the track sounds,I was actually starting to enjoy the break at 2:22....then the synth comes in and it put me off a bit, sounds a bit predictable. Add some atmosphere, like ILoop says - add some subtlety and it could sound like a nice ambient track.

Melody is simple and good, you must change a bassline.

thanx a lot guys, I've been trying to work on my percs for a long time. I forgot to mention that this was made using only the standard logic plugins, and a kick I used off a sample cd. Also, it's on a slow computer, if I had any more instruments, the computer would have crashed. Thanx for all the suggestions!
