, all you s give a about is what genre something falls into and who pioneers what sound and what label its on. if the music is good then its good who gives a ..

that said i didnt mind soups' stuff too much, at least it was different from the usual mark norman, katana, and "pretty trance" tracks. the second last song = ownage ;)

looking through that list JPL
there is some nice tunes there..

particlular the Fred Numpf
and the bt track..

but just dont get all up on someone
because of the tracks they play in
a mix..

and particularly to me, who has never
ever bagged anyones selection or mixing
or promo'ism (until just before)
Light The Fuse
i didnt bag you out
im not up ya...now look, your thread has 4 pages and more views than ever lol

and dave i know what ur saying about pretty trance, but we as trance fans have to face something. All the half decent bigger clubs around melbourne have tried to put trance into their clubnights. eg seven, prince, room etc. It hasnt werked. Im still tryna make it werk so that doors will open...

i think changing or altering ur style to suit clubs and certain nights is stupid. no offence but u play what u enjoy playing and there shouldnt be a need to change for others.

if u are good enough then people will hear about you. not just that but there are people out there that do enjoy your style of djing..not that i can talk from experience because i have close to none but for me i dont wanna have to feel as if im not gonna give something ago becuase my style of trance/prog or whatever isnt played on a regular basis at the more well known clubs.

fabric 20 is a piece of fluffy .. only sold because it was mixed by digweed.. not that i like that style at all but Fabric 19 was much better..

and i agree slick.. u cant change your style to suit the clubs.. to me thats compromising yourself.. however i guess it depends on how passionate you are, and me im passionate in what i play and i could NEVER play music for people to enjoy if i wasnt loving it myself..

my motto is - that i want to play music for people who enjoy the music i do, and enjoy beautiful melodies etc etc.. not for people who are ed up and will dance to anything with a bassline in it..

[this isnt aimed at you this next part JPL]

but everyone goes on about tiesto selling out etc etc etc, which is fine, but isnt the whole definition of 'selling out' on your music changing your style to fit in with whats the flavour of the month?
