I understand but at the same time there are different parts to a forum. That are specifically for mentioning whether you enjoy the track or not. Not trying to be mean just being logical. |

1.) No. the essential mix version is different from the vandit release. it is more a gabriel and dresden mix than the original mix.
2.) Yes. you are right. on the vandit release, the notes say:
FOETAL HEARTBEAT BY ROWAN GABRIEL
which should be the baby of Josh and Kristy Gabriel. this is a song for the more grown-ups of us. indeed, the song was released on the gabriel & dresden album about one year ago, so the fetus should have been born now... this is interesting, since i dont know anything about josh gabriels family life. |

Josh is married with two kids and is currently living in San Francisco. His second kid was born last April, I believe (Talked to Josh about it last May, so my memory could be bad).
Alive was made using his first child's heartbeat, I am sure. |

Dave is correct on this :) Rowan is their oldest and the heartbeat is his.... for those of us with families, this song is is quite special. I was hoping that even the younger people would see the uniqueness of the track and "get it".. I think some have... |

| if anyone has any hard facts on release dates or labels, etc. that would be greatly appreciated. i would really like the EM remix to be released, i love this track. im currently working on a reconstruction but if its being released soon, f- the work. by far the mix on their essentialmix puts the remix on the vandit release to shame. i dont know why they even released that mix before the EM one. :conf: |

| The club mix of this track just blows me away. I am pretty sure that the version I like is the club mix of it. The original is great as well. I think its so cool and unique to add his son's heartbeat into one of his tracks. Major points on creativity for that one. |
