REVIEW---DENNIS HAHN & TYGON- Purple Room 03/11/05

Well I am sore and about 5 lbs lighter today. I knew this night was going to be just amazing........
arrived there about 10ish with DancingQueen169 and Vertigo. Dennis was doing his thang. The purple room is always a little chilly in the beginning of the night when it is empty. But it always gets hot in there as the night progresses.
I didn't have to drive....and I was in desperate need of some alcohol in my system. So the drinking began.
Tygon arrived and began spinning....I can;t really remember the time he went on. He was not kidding about HARD BEATs coming my wayyyyyy. Holy WOW. Luckly the alcohol helped me keep up with this guy!!! I swear he was challenging me to see how much I could take....I think I did a pretty good job ;)
The purple room was nicely filled, and well it began to get really HOT. It was nice to see the mystery girl that was dancing her ass of the last time we were there.....darling Don. What an awesome chick. I found out that she was actually older than me! So there is hope of me dancing as I do for at least 3 more years :happy2: This meaning without slowing down my pace.
A couple times I thought my heart was going to jump right out of my chest...so I just went to the bar and got another drink.
Thanks to all that came out tonight. I wish more TA's would come out to these KW events...they are always amazing. The fact that I danced 5 times harder last night than I did at Misstress says alot about these nights in the Purple room. I had a couple moments whoring it up on the DJ booth!!!
I didn't take much pics....as I was a little too buzzed to care. The ones that were taken I will post up shortly.
The night ended perfect with Dennis and trance.....unbelievable!!!

It hurts to move today due to last night's festivities... Holy hell.
Dennis starting off with some great tunes at 10 when we wandered in, and when it was Tim's (Dizc/Tygon) turn to go on around 11:30ish (?) ended his opener with Sander van Doorn - Dark Roast. HUGE TUNE. Absolutely love it.
For the next 2 hours I didn't stop once, Tim just absolutely killed the floor. I thought I was going to fall apart, but it was so worth it. Serious hard bangin' techno. I'd kill to have a recording of that set.
Dennis then closed off starting about 1:30ish I guess, switching back to glorious, glorious trance. Great stuff as usual here.
Like Kelly said, more of you need to come out for these Friday nights in The Purple Room when Dennis & guests are playing. They are just absolutely incredible and are often better than big-name DJ parties at big clubs in Toronto.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go lay down again for a while. |

What an amazing night! Dennis and Tim tore the place up. I swear I didn't stop dancing once....and I am sooo sore today, but it was totally worth it.
The night started off a little weird with the creepy asian guy following me around all night and grabbing my ass and trying to dance with me. Thank you to everyone and especially Dennis' cousin (sorry I forget your name) for helping me keep this guy away from me.
Tim - OMG what a set! I don't think I could have danced any harder. You had the room on their feet the whole nite, and everyone was having a blast. Can't wait to get mmy hands on a copy of your set :)
Dennis - What can I say that I haven't told you a million times already. You kept me dancing even when I didn't think I had an ounce of energry left. Excellent set as always!! Look forward to seeig you spin again soon :)

hahaha! That asian guy following you two girls around was hilarious!
The night was fackin awesome! The turnouts are bigger now it seems, and its wicked! So much fun! Everyones going nuts having a great time, I love it! Amazing sets from all djs! I had a massive fun time as always, it was just great.
After leaving, get in coat check, and some girl thought I said something to her (she was super loaded) and smacked me in the face! lol!!! Then grabbed my nose for some reason and started bitching at me again hahaha! I just put my arms up laughing lol!
Then we realized we lost my friends keys to her car. So she got a ride from someone and me and my friend rob, both of us drunk, tryed to find a cab but couldnt. So we walked to some timmys where we got a hot chocolate, still both bitching about the keys and stuff haha. We were fackin freezing after starting to walk again and my friend wanted to walk to his house which was like 40min away. We end up in front of the university of waterloo, we get in, go in the 24 hour lounge thing where no one was and sat down. Next thing I know its morning, I wake up to some lady changing the garbage lol! Then we booked it outside, saw a bus stopped so we ran to it, and took it back to his house LOL! We found the keys after going back to rev with his car, they were in the snow in the parking lot. lol! Hilarious times and crazy night. Thank you purple room haha! |
