lol, but we are only at the start of April atm!!! Hence "almost" 4 months... :stongue:

yeah and the tickets sold well quick last year too, even though I thought the lineup was .
dj_vishnu
that's why i bought them 'unseen', thinking..

"it cant be worse then last year! and last year was awsome"..
DJSi
Ah right, I listened to the sets, I thought PVD and the megamix were good, but the other DJs too slow really and didn't have the punch that was needed...

So I take it that it's like the other events ID&T put on, drinks tokens, lots of bars where you use the tokens for drinks, different entrances, etc?

I've been to TE 3 times and TIC 2004... I guess the organisation will be about the same right?
dj_vishnu
yes, pretty much the same i guess.

im actually not so mad that they didnt release any lineup, think of the crowds reaction when the whole thing starts and they get one supprise after the other.

Sensation 2005 lineup:

rank 1
pvd
armin
The Megamix
cosimc gate
dj jean
johan gielen

...and i would just die.
basvh
haha what a joke, damn sensation is getting worse and worse.

These are the real good partys in netherlands: Awakenings, Extrema, Dance Valley, Mysteryland

They'll probably stick in a couple of those "up and coming DJs" like they always do. ;)

Yeah, Sensation is going downhill. I can't believe tickets still got sold out without a lineup. If you're a true EDM fan, the lineup is the most important part of a party/rave.

The 04 white lineup was a joke. I am sure 05 white is going to suck as well. I mean in all seriousness, you're paying €57 to see this. If you want cheap thrills, go to TE. J/K. :D

Styles have definitely changed too. White lineup shifted from trance to house and Black from techno to hardstyle. I guess part of the reason that Sensation is gaining popularity is due to the shift into more popular genres of EDM.

I still have hope that the black lineup will turn out good.

White (in no particular order):
Sander Kleinenberg
PVD
Ferry Corsten
Sasha
Rank 1 (just because I haven't seen them live)
AVB (not a fan of his, but I am pretty sure he'll be there)

Black (in no particular order):
Mauro Picotto
Sven Väth
Yoji Biomehanika
DJ Luna
Cosmic Gate
Dumonde

If the actual lineup is anywhere close to that, I'll punch somebody.
:)

EDM?? Whats that?? :conf:

Well I agree with most of that, certainly going downhill, if it's all house again. But if that was the lineup, I'd be fairly happy. But not many of them are up and coming, they are a lot more well know DJs!

EDM = electronic dance music

I should elaborate a little bit. The lineup that I posted was what I would consider a good lineup for Sensation White/Black. That was not the actual lineup. :D Obviously, none of those DJs are up and coming. Now, for instance in '04 white, they had Brian S, Benjamin Bates, and Joost Van Bellen. I mean who the hell are they. I heard Benjamin Bates was the protege of Marco V... how about the others? Those people haven't really broke it through the big ranks, which is one of the reasons why Sensation (White) started to suck after '03. For €55+, I'm sure they could book better DJs for an event as big as this. At an event like Innercity, tickets cost cheaper and the lineup is also better. Well, that is my little rant. I think the good thing to come out of this is that many more people are exposed to EDM. That will definitely happen now that Sensation is in Belgium and Germany.

If the black anthem is really Blutonium Boy - Hardstyle Instructor Part 2 (DJ Neo Remix), that has to be one of the worst hardstyle songs I have ever heard. Just like Mindspace last year. Hardstyle for newbs. :gsmile: Why can't they have Thilo & Evanti - Static... best hardstyle track that I have heard so far this year. :whip:

Just curious DJSi... What would your dream lineup be? ;)

Joost van Bellen is one of the godfathers of the dutch edm scene. Brian S is particular popular amongst Rotterdam and Amsterdam groovy house lovers.

I dont really care what the line up is, after the first edition sensation became a joke. Terrible long introductions and stupid things like megamixes. And I dont even start about the skyboxen filled with dutch bankers and wannebee vips just wanting to be there to be cool.

Exactly right ;) I know people moan/dislike it, but I think the lineup for TE was especially good this year too. I'm just a major trance fan anyway... I do like a few house tunes don't get me wrong, but majority is TRANCE :D

I was confused why you said:

I hate hardstyle, would never consider going to Black... it's bordering on just noise! :whip: IMO White should be trance, Black should be hard house or something, that would be a lot better

My dream line up.... well here goes... any combination of the below:

TIESTO
AVB
ABOVE AND BEYOND ... saw them on NYE 2004, awesome :)
RANK 1
JUDGE JULES
FERRY CORSTEN
BLANK AND JONES ... usually pretty good
M.I.K.E.(PUSH)
PVD ... plays good sets sometimes imo

I know that they would never get Tiesto ever again as he does events in his own right, but would be nice... :D

Anyways, I'm sure lots of trance peeps would like that lineup!

So is now things moving to house? Obviously the majority of people in holland like that then I take it? Or it could just be "the in thing to go to" hmmm

Cool. Thanks for clearing that up. Wouldn't have known that living here in SF... but then again I don't follow the house scene too much.

Hard house? When I think of hard house, I think of the stuff Lisa Lashes plays. :nervous: Hardstyle >> Hard house :D

Yep, that's definitely a trance lovers feast right there. :) I don't mind that lineup... maybe get rid of AVB because he's too boring for me.
