Yea, I am sure you can point me in the direction of the search button, but I think things change enough with this product that I can ask my qustion anew...

Could some ppl give me some suggestions in a midi controller? I have been looking at the korg mircokontrol but i noticed that I could buy a fuller size evolution for a cheaper price or almost the same price depending on which model.

anyway, cheers for the suggestions
tonkproject
you didnt look enough cause that's a big difference between MICROKONTROL and EVOLUTION
xmotleyx
I understand that, but i was using those two as an example as to what I have been looking at. I am lost at what to look for ...

I see that the evolution can have a great deal of keys and be a larger size. However, the mircokontrol has fewer keys, smaller size, but, as i see it, more control functions.

I was wondering other's opinions on what to look for in such a device ..

cheers ..

well what do you need it for? Specifically what are you going to be using it for and what will the controls and keys be assigned to? Think about that and it should point you to what you're looking for. If you're immediate answer is I don't know then don't buy anything

Yea, i guess you are right, but you know the saying 'boys and their toys' really makes sense. I feel like I want to buy a toy!!!

I'm gonna assume you only have a small setup so I wouldn't get anything too big, something small and manageable but efficent and will get the job done. Something like the Oxygen8 is cool. Alot of people are into Radium's but it's got alot of flaws (Well not flaws just things I think the keboard should have and doesn't).

Well, an Evolution MK449C or 461C is pretty much like a Radium, just better. I originally purchased a Radium49 but then exchanged it for a Evolution MK449C, and I'm very happy that I did :)

The small ones like microkontrol and Oxygen are pretty cool but 2-3 octaves really aint fun when you're playing around, imho.

So well I would recommend a MK449C :) And it does have a lot of control functions. Though you probably won't use them as much as you think you will, at least I did. But they're very nice to have especially for playing around with filters and such.

Because we'd hate to manually pitch something :D
