Thanks. I wish every artist had a samples page like this...

(I can't freaking believe I haven't discovered Orbital before... this is all gold! Another lot of CDs to pour my money in...)

its also a shame as they dont produce no more :(

15 years and theyve produced the most consitent edm music out there.

Orbital/Kirk Hammett - Satan Spawn

kirk hammet and orbital did a collaboration? interesting

Indeed a huge shame they called it quits a while back. Been one of my favs for 15 years and still are. They still might do some solo works occasionally but as Orbital they're done. As for a happier side note, just a few months ago i managed to fulfill my Orbital collection and now it's totally complete. I'm soo happy. :D

It's basicly a new updated version of Satan (original version came out in 1990), rerecorded together with Kirk Hammett for the 1997 movie Spawn.

I am a gigantic Orbital fan, in fact they are my all-time favourite production. I got lots of music from them, and I love a lot of their stuff. The only thing I dont like, is their Blue Album. Roughly, here are my top 10 Orbital favourites:

1. Chime
2. Speed Freak
3. Feeling [year 1989: VERY rare, I have ittt!]
4. Planet Of The Shapes
5. Moebius
6. Impact USA (The Earth Is Burning)
6. Halcyon [I prefer the video version of the tune, the original, not the On & On remake]
7. Lush 3-1
8. Girl With The Sun In Her Head
9. Beached
10. Monday

Feeling is great, i have it too. It was a pain in the lower back to get hold of. Actually i have doubts for it even being a real Orbital track.. my copy is just a whitelabel so i can't be really sure. Below listed my somewhat top10 anyway. :stongue:

Belfast
Chime (Full Length 12" Mix)
Dr. ?
High Rise
Satan
Midnight (Full Length 12" Mix)
Halcyon (Original, not the +On+On remake)
Beached
Lush 3 (Live)
Lush 3-5 (CJ Bolland)

if it isn't orbital that did sinner then nevermind

Of course. Orbital did both The Saint and The Sinner track on one CD (cant recall the name). I didnt buy it cause I didnt like it as much - I got MP3s instead. I like The Sinner more than The Saint for some reason.

So, I've just listened to Halcyon & On & On, and I'm awestruck. It was a huge surprise, since I've listened to the Snivilization CD earlier, and it was... well, not good.

So my point is: Could any of you recommend good Orbital releases to me? Would the "Work" compliation be enough?

If you like halcyon you'll like 'One Perfect Sunrise'

Hm, it's not even listed on their homepage... pretty damn rare it seems to be.
