yea seein i only have a 4.3gig HD (im 56k so it takes a while to fill up).. whenever its full i take the HD round to a friends house and burn all the mp3s to CD... i have 14 now and growing :D
Coup
as i use the family comp with a 6gig hd, ive managed to steal one gig of it, so i download into "new", listen, either delete or move to "cdr" every 650megs i burn it and delete all in cdr, and start over, and then run that disc thro my stocker which keeps a list of every mp3 i own and on what cdr, think ive burned 13 mp3 ones, only had cable about 4 months, used to have 56k lol!

Back when Napster was all the rage, I never backed up my MP3s until one day it all went Pete Tong! I lost about 4 Gigs of MP3s and its taken me a year to pick them all back up again!! Trouble is, I can't remember a lot of them, and I'll never get them back :(

Now I back up every 700Megs, and I've got about 15CDs.

DEFINATELY WORTH IT!

Definately m8. If something really happened, like a full HDD crash, power surge, ty virus or sommit, you'd kick yourself

You every tried searching for 20Gigs of MP3s on websites?

To download it all again (as one 20G file) check out these stats m8 :p

To DL one 20Gb file **approx**

56K Modem - 46 constant days at a constant 5K/s rate
128K ISDN - 11.5 constant days at a constant 20K/s rate
512 Cable - 4.5 constant days at a constant 50K/s rate

enjoy.

I only keep those sets (all I collect are sets and full cds, very few singles) I feel like listening to at any a given time or those that I am burning for friends on my harddrive. The rest of my music is burned out to 110+ CDs (and growing everyday : ) I have all the cd's databased so I can find any set instantly. All of the CDs are numbered and in a binder. All my music binders sit in a backpack right next to a backpack full of negatives of all my photography. This is for that rare chance there is a fire at my place. Every thing in my room can burn but if I lost my music and photographs I don't know what I'd do : )
