| I said this when the saq in quebec went on strike. How the hell can a booze store have a union. It does take a degree in rocket science to scan a bottle of rum and but it in a bag. Gimmy a break |

I guess it depends on what store they work at because my friend told me where she worked she got $18 and the full timers got 22 with benefits. |

PETITION to de-legalize LCBO.
!! it's friday, at 9:15 I went to get some beer and vodka to LCBO in downtown of Mississauga (@ Hurontario) and guess what? it's ing closed!!
how is that possible, where everywhere in the world you can get beer and vodka basically anytime, especially friday night BUT HERE!!!
in europe you can get anything you want 24/7. even at the gas stations they have beer and vodka. I'm dont expect LCBO to be open 24/7 but at least be open much longer on friday and saturday. LAZY F*CKERS

Thats what happens when people in canada vote for governments that keep treating them like babies. Surprisingly the Liberals are the worst for this kind of over regulation. Youd think it would be conservatives but nope...

thats balls man. even here in collingwood, on fri. and saturday our LCBOs stores are open till 10pm.
our beer store is open till 10pm EVERY night of the week except for sunday (6pm close)
and in Craigleith, like 10 mins north of us, there is a combined Beer Store/LCBO in a Mac's... its allowed to sell alcohol until 11pm everynight of the week, except sunday when it can sell till 6pm.
so whenever we REALLY wanna get wasted but were slow on the draw, we just drive out to Craigleith and freakin' hiit up that max. ITS GREAT.
can get beer or hardliquor until 11pm. Now thats whut im talkin' about yo! p.s. and they have a really good selection too.. its not like its some chinsey small store that really doesnt offer u much variety. its a bigass Macs and the alcohol component takes up more than 1/2 of it :D :D

The problem is that even if the stores are privatized there is no talk about them lettin you sell booze after 10pm.
I don't have any problem with the LCBO stores, I think they are good and have good selection and service.
The problem is with closing so early, and under the way they have it now the proposed plan for privatizing it wouldn't change that. |
