Simply Bangin' presents
The Review
"The World's Best In House"
@ The Sullivan Room
Saturday April 2nd, 2005!!!

The Review, a bi-monthly event, will set the new standard in New York for proper House Music. We will be flying in the world's best in house, tech-house, deep house, and just about any type of the beautiful 4x4 beat. The venue chosen has catered to this sound for a long time and is known world wide for being one of the most decorated and respected clubs in NYC. Some may remember previous editions featuring house legend Charles Feelgood and the duo from DC, East Coast Boogiemen. Here's who we're bringing to grace the decks for the latest Review!

MAZI (Audio Soul Project, Gourmet Recordings, Chicago)

If house music is truly global music, then US DJ/producer Mazi Namvar is its model citizen. The current Chicago resident was originally born in Iran and lived in Greece as a child. He has been involved in Chicago’s house scene since the early 90’s, releasing his first record in 1994.

Mazi has released a wide range of music, recording as Studio nova, MFO, Right Side Reverse and most famously as Audio Soul Project. He is credited with over 140 singles and remixes and one full length album on NRK entitled “Community”. From remixes for the likes of Superfunk, Joey Negro, Sandy Rivera, Nick Holder, Johnny Fiasco and Paul Johnson to original productions for labels like 20/20 Vision, NRK, Airtight, Gourmet, Fluential and Siesta, Mazi’s work has diversely represented nearly every strand of contemporary house.

Through his studio sensibility, his DJ career has quickly been elevated within the international circuit. Behind the decks, his 'journey' style sets have steadily garnered him a reputation as a true taste maker. In the past year alone he has played in cities like Paris, London, Zurich, Singapore, Tokyo, Istanbul, Belgrade, Sao Paulo, Rio De Janeiro, Vancouver, Toronto, Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco among many others. www.audiosouldproject.com

DJ Fame and James Miller Junior (SimplyBangin.com, TouchClothing.com. TopDJGear.com)

James Miller Junior + Dj Fame's live sets, unparalleled stage presence & electric style of house have gotten them invitations to dj the world's most super clubs, naming a handful, Penthouse (MOSCOW) Sfinx (POLAND) Decadance (BELGIUM) Ruby Skye (SAN FRAN) Level (MIAMI) Tunel (DC) Sullivan Room (NY) Ikon (NY) & mega festivals like WMC, WEMF, Pimps & Ho's, 1 Nation & Caveman.

The beauty and shear elegance behind James and Fame's dj sets is their ability to invoke the thickest of vibes for any audience they perform for. Whether touching the soul of a rave with their peak hour feel-good & funky house, turning a club into a tech-house ministry, or resonating the deep with their New York tribal beats, one thing is the same, the brilliant vibes and energy they emulate are surpassed by few.
