"Reality based TV shows" Do you like them?

I just want to know what everyone's opinion is on all these "reality based TV shows" that are everywhere these days. I'm somewhat of a closet viewer. I catch a few of them mainly Survivor, Big Brother and a few more. I know they are cheesy and a few of my pals would give me slack for watching it (so I don't tell them I'm hooked on some :p )
There's this other show I've been meaning to check out called Temptation Island but I havn't found the time yet. A few friends of mine have watched the first few episodes and some of them "refuse" to watch it again. They say the show is too intense for them to watch and it makes them look at their bf/gf in a whole different light. Some of them KNOW for a fact that their current bf/gf would INDEED cheat on them given a similar scenario , so it's hard for them to watch the show. LOL :p Sounds juicy, I gotta check it out.
So what do you think? Do you like them? Hate them? Can't get enough? |

| Hmm...I only like ones that are on MTV because those are the original ones. Survivor gets on my nerves! |

I always liked shows based on real life (like movies and stuff) but not the type of Survivor or Temptation Island or the sort. maybe I watch some, just for fun, but I don't like them in any special way... guess I like to live my life, not to feed myself from others' lifes...

I got hooked on Survivor during the first episode. I was just Channel surfin and I saw people jumping overboard from a tall ship..I was like WTF..so I watched and BAM! ive seen every episode since.
I didnt like big brother, but all the other shows I could deal with
Big Brother was too character intensive, if u didnt know em, the show made NO sense @ all...the others u can just watch |

I bloody hate them ... they are just cringe worthy ... Big Brother especially ... take a bunch of dysfunctional, ed up fake personality wannabe TV starlets and put em in a house together and see who snogs who first ... woop de doo, how ENTHRALLING :whip: :whip:
The most irritating thing is that that was all over the newspapers here in the UK, it was like a national obsession to see who got thrown out of the Big Brother house this week, I'd honestly rather get up and leave the room if it comes on TV and I still got a face full of it, there was no escape. All of which leads me to believe that the British public are a sad bunch of no-life in LOSERS ... bah ... bollocks to the lot of em :mad: |

i was watching Murder in Small Town X once and thought it was a real thing then turns theres no murderer and everybody is just a contestant.

| I think Big Brother can be good but is a bit intense, and only like one show a week is really entertaining. It tends to get more boring as there is less people are in the house. |

I like survivor, I missed the very first episode of the first season, ever since then I have caught everyone..
it's an awesome show, a microcosm of humanity..
big brother and temptation island though are REALLY lame, I can't get into them like I do with survivor.. they are just cheap knockoffs. |
