there is also a freeware solution - something i posted two weeks ago and it looks like everyone ignored it. maybe it is too complicated? hm.
anyway - sidechain explained
also, there is voxengo crunchpressor which works pretty much the same way (version 1.5), and kjaerhus audio will be releasing another of his golden series plugins which will support true stereo sidechain. those are better choices than db because they are still being supported. |

Do you know Scot Project's basses.
The are one long note with a controller on the volume.
everytime the kick doesn't sound the bass volume rises.
Now thats sidechaining. |
