Is there a limit on the number of emails you can send out with G-mail ? I know with Hotmail, you can only send like 50 emails a day.

dont know bout limits.
As for my preferance...its gmail..but i currently use both evenly.

Hotmail simply cuz ive had it for years..Gmail is catching up though quick. I use it mostly for school and business related stuff. Job apps, etc etc.

Gmail has proven itself to be invaluable for my schoolwork, emailing huge files back and forth to my group members and whatnot at all hours of the night when they're not on an IM program.

I also love the clean, uncluttered interface. Hotmail's interface is so much busier with all those stupid ads and .

Gmail!

Gmail. For numerous reasons...

a) Hotmail still hasn't upgraded my account
b) Hotmail was and is still for the majority of my junk mail
c) As someone pointed out, it's a bitch to write a long ass email and not being able to send it...:whip:
d) Gmail's interface is cleaner, less crap in there. I don't want shopping links, i don't want forum links. All i want is my damn email.
e) I can send attachments up to 10MB with gmail... woohoo!

Needless to say the moment Google comes out with an IM i'll be moving to that. If people are too lazy/stupid to realise what's good for them then tough , i don't need them on my buddy list :p

I use gmail too. It's just easy to use, plus there's such a rediculous amount of space on your account, stuff like that is never a worry. Plus, it's just really easy to use.

Gmail hint of the day: To improve GMails already insane performance even further, I suggest archiving all your messages ! Archived messages are still accessible through 'All Mail' link, but this way your inbox is empty.
dallastar
is that what g-mail is??

Great googliemoogly. . .

Take the leap and switch, much better. Yes you can have a passport account for msn messenger. When you sign up just put in your gmial account.

Can someone in plain and simple english explain to me how to import a contacts list from Hotmail to Gmail?? I tried following the freakin directions in the help section on the Gmail site - but no luck.

He will teach you all :whip:

On the contrary, hotmail's got nothing on gmail. Less space, crummy and slow interface, littered with ads, and spammed up the arse. There's not even any comparison.

I just don't see the point of gmail over POP mail, especially when I have 250 mailboxes and unlimited forwarders. If the idea of getting something FREE as opposed to paying $5 or $20 a year for better quality tickles one's fancy then let them have their fun, and in that case, go for gmail because hotmail is crappola.
