Maybe they just don't want to? Perhaps Trance has reached the point where it's popular enough to warrant "wanting to be famous" as an excuse for starting to produce. Maybe new producers just want to be noticed, and will only produce what sounds like ASOT in a vain attempt to be recognized.
I dunno. In any case, these need to stop, and they need to stop now. They're far beyond the point of pathetic. |

I don't really have a problem with new remixes because if a producer likes a track alot they can do what they want with it, for all we know it could even be there favourite track of all time. Who knows? Everybody has a favourite song even djs believe it or not :eyes: and I think alot of producers starting out will agree that the first track/remix they made was of their favourite song.
IMO they are entitled to do there own interpritation of it because 1: It could fit more into the style of the sets they play where as the original doesn't 2: They want a faster version of the original, hence the hard house versions etc.. 3: They really like elements of the original but not all of it. Running out of examples :stongue: but you get what I mean.
Also I can see why people say producers are running out of ideas but I don't get why people say so and so have killed a classic, not trying to cause an argument but the original is not going anywhere is it :conf:
If I don't like a "2005 remix" or whatever it is called I won't buy it or even bother listening to it again if I can help it, simple as that. I will continue to use my favourite version track be it new or old. |

| was going thro a random old gc cd earlier & came across the BeatPusher rmx of pulser- cloudwalking. Have to say this is an exception to the general rule as it's superb |

IMO it's a HORRIBLE rape of a great classic! but i loved beat pusher's murto (not the horrible vocal versions though) and rokki (rokki especially, which is such a great tune yet no one seems to know it) :)

sasha has made a remix too and afaik it's new. faithless is gonna cash in properly on their old tracks now afaik and release more of these updated versions. |

I think its really tasteful as I said, I can listen to it and not feel like the original mixes have been cheapened at all. |

The Beatpusher remix of Cloudwalking is amazing. Its even better than the original and Astral remix. Such an awesome remix!!
yeah I agree Rokki is a masterpiece which is really really underrated. |

armand van helden and sister bliss have also remixed this track
its going to be released with all remixes celebrating 10 yrs of faithless, and they have not sold out... :p |
