SINGAPORE -- It's not only the drinks that are ice cold at the Eski Bar, a new nightspot in tropical Singapore.
The room temperature is so cold that staff wear heavy coats and ski caps, and patrons get a 10 per cent discount if they show up in winter wear.
The gimmick is to attract thirsty clientele who need a break from the round-the-clock, sweltering Southeast Asian heat.
The temperature in the bar hovers between minus two and just above zero.
The bar also has a ``chiller'' room, where the temperature is a more normal 18, and an outdoor area for those that can't take the cold. (AP) --- mco 04:35ET 15-03-05 |

Considering I'm drinking room temperature beer (because my teenagers steal all the beer I put in beer fridge, so I put them in my room now), I don't need Antartic temperatures just to tool down some suds.

hehe, maybe, but idle replies really don't hurt anyone. 'sides, is it really about the "Thread Count"? i personally don't give a hoot about thread count... just here for the interaction. |
