Global Gathering 2005

hey. i am a german trance addict and i want to visite the gathering this year. i ordered two tickets for the whole weekend an two flights from cologne to birmingham airport. how far is birmingham from stratford away and how can i get there. what are you all thinking about GG. i talked to some people from UK about GG last summer in ibiza and they all love it.

I would have thought there would be some kind of shuttle bus link from birmingham to stratford.... I doubt the details will be posted until the line up is released on april 1st.
If i remember rightly i think stratford is about 45mins away from brum (correct me if im wrong guys its been almost a year since i last visited brum)

i'd say it keeps getting worse but never mind lol
easiest way to stratford from birmingham is the train (followed by shuttle bus from stratford to long marsden airfield), failing that, taxi it if there is enough of you (6 or 7) its like 40 quid taxi from birmingham but you are garunteed to get there.
getting back in the morning is somewhat more of a problem though lol

| Its well worth the trip over. Six of us went over last year. We got a bus from Birmingham which took three hours to get to stratford, the traffic was chaos. We were stuck on a bus with no air conditioning and it was about 28 degrees outside. So jump on the train if you can. |

and on the other end how far is the train stop in stratfort from the GG away ???
if someone of the UKTAs comes ther, do you stay there the whole weekend or only on saturday ??? and the line up will be confirmed on the first of april ??? but it cant be better than last year or??? |

| im not sure about getting to global from staffford train station but the journey from birmingham new street takes 30 mins,and is about £6 i think. |

Global has only become a weekend event this year, so we usually only stay on the saturday :p
Lineup will be confirmed on 1st April.
And i think it will be worse than last year, which is why a few of us from london are going to Dancevalley instead. |

the event this year is still gonna be blatently awesome, tho i think im only gonna do the saturday myself cos im doing dance valley a week later and stuff
i always drive so im not really in the best position to tell you how to get to/from the event, but cars home are a nightmare cos its soooo busy!
still u should enjoy yourself.... its blatently gonna have armin/ferry/tiesto etc in the main tent, and a whole host of top names from other genres in the other tents. |

only festival i'm (planning on) missing is sensation.. which is a bit of a bummer really, but i'm in aus =/ |

oh you all come to dance valley. i have been there last year and it is one of the best partys on this planet. this year the GermanTAs plan to order a bus to dance valley. at trance energy we also drive with 40 gtas from hamburg with a GTA bus to utrecht.
so was anyone on both festivals in the past ???
what is better
