broken tone arm

| So I just picked up a stanton STR8-60 table with a broken tone arm. The counterweight snapped right off and I'm wondering if there would be a problem with gluing it back on. The cut is very clean and it could be reconnected by a strong adhesive with no problem. Will the balance be effected by the addition of a tiny bit (one drop or so) of glue, or what? |

| I misworded that. I bought it with the weight already broken off figuring I could either glue it on or replace the whole arm. |

If the little rod that the weight has screwed onto has snapped off, yeah you can glue it back on.
That happened to my decks in shipping, a little dollop of araldite/epoxy or some other STRONG adhesive should work fine. It needs to be strong, cos there is a fair bit of weight being bourne by that small spot. Don't put too much on there though. |
