broken tone arm

So I just picked up a stanton STR8-60 table with a broken tone arm. The counterweight snapped right off and I'm wondering if there would be a problem with gluing it back on. The cut is very clean and it could be reconnected by a strong adhesive with no problem. Will the balance be effected by the addition of a tiny bit (one drop or so) of glue, or what?

I misworded that. I bought it with the weight already broken off figuring I could either glue it on or replace the whole arm.

If the little rod that the weight has screwed onto has snapped off, yeah you can glue it back on.
That happened to my decks in shipping, a little dollop of araldite/epoxy or some other STRONG adhesive should work fine. It needs to be strong, cos there is a fair bit of weight being bourne by that small spot. Don't put too much on there though.
