I heard about this earlier in the week and i just wanted to be able to confirm it.

quote:
On Saturday, March 12, 2005 John R. McCusker Jr., owner of Club Montage & ReBar died of a sudden heart attack while on vacation in Mammoth. Sadly & regretfully both bars Club Montage and The Re-Bar are closed indefinitely. His vision over the past 8 1/2 years was to bring to life his dream of creating a place for us all to come together. Our community is a better place from John's generosity and kindness, and his smile & laughter will be deeply missed. Our wonderful memories of John and Club Montage will live in our hearts forever - THANK-YOU JOHN!! We will miss you!

so sad, he was one of the first people to give me a chance(when it came to DJing) and i will forever be grateful.

I hope someone buys it and keep it open. It's the only good place to party till 5AM. :)

actually Montage has an unrestricted license and they can go 24 hours a day if they want. I mean alochol sales have to stop at 2am but the club can be open 24 hours if it wants.

A little more info that I saw on the news today:

The Catholic Bishop in San Diego denied to give him a burrial service to him because he was gay. He later came out and said it was wrong of him, and they are now going to let it happen.

The funeral was last Friday at an Episcopal church and then he was buried in Temecula. The Bishop is only doing a mass in honor of John and his family.
