this is what it takes to run Farcry, at least on my system anyways. I jacked the settings up so high that after about an hour of playing i start to get blue screen errors.

A big ass fan on the side of your CPU? That won't cool the chip that much more. Get a custom heat sink fan for that stuff... You must be a total idiot BTW...

Put your CPU in a fridge with wires running out the side. Now that will cool it down.... NOt a good idea in the long run, though because condensation will destroy the electronics....

Yea I went from getting blue screen errors every 45 minutes to not getting them at all, even after about 3 hours :rolleyes:
So I must be a total idiot, I mean there must be stores open right now at 1am where I can buy new fans and heatsyncs! This is temporary numbnuts, I'm going to return my video card tomorrow and get a new fan. |

| emachines suck ... it probably came with a ty PSU and that 's why it's crashing .. not to mention cheap ass RAM + mobo |

It isn't an e-machine and it's likely the video card itself because it usualy gets extremely hot even with the fan on, so once I get that fixed it'll be fine most likely.
All games have ran fine until now but I spent a lot of time gaming today and Farcry takes quite a bit of power to run. Everything is fine now though so I'll just get a new fan for my video card, a different video card or just a cooling system. |

| i duno ... looked like an emachine .... my vid card gets up to 130f and I never get crashes and I do play far cry @ very high settings |
